We provide our superintendents with the necessary support and resources to excel in their role and make sure all projects are completed to the highest standard. The Superintendent directly supervises field labor force, including subcontractors and laborers/craft workers. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills. They must also have strong client service skills and an understanding of all of the trades associated with commercial interior construction and high-end renovation projects. Qualified applicants must be willing to travel extensively, have excellent communication skills, and work effectively in a team. Knowledge of all phases of commercial construction, computer skills, and self-direction are required.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties\nOversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, housekeeping, and daily log.\nProvide guidance, leadership and direct supervision of site staff, including assistant superintendents, laborers and other construction related personnel.\nManagement of schedule, including weekly preparation of 2-week look ahead.\nProactively schedule and coordinate all subcontractors to ensure completion of the project in accordance with the project schedule and to ensure that no additional costs are required for completion of work.\nDevelop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.\nEnsure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.\nDemonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.\nWork in partnership with project management to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.\nRun weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings.\nManage the RFI process; consisting of the creation of and suggestions on solutions to site issues and tracking them through close out.\nExceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences and culture.\nContinuously promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in project team.\nMaintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.\nManage close out process and warranty responses with project manager.\n\nQualifications and Skills\nAt least five years of relevant experience as a Superintendent, preferably in interior commercial general contracting\nMust have a proven record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces\nCapable of managing/coordinating multiple quick turnaround projects simultaneously\nDemonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications\n10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate\n4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate\nWillingness to travel upon request for 8-12 weeks within and out of state\n\nComputer Systems\nMicrosoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Project and Procore (preferred but not required)\n\nBenefits\nMedical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance\nDisability Insurance and Life Insurance\n401K Match\nEmployee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)\nLiving and Travel Reimbursement\nBusiness expenses and Mileage Reimbursement\nPerformance-based bonus program\n\nSalary Information\n$90,000 - $120,000\n\n#LI-OnSite\n\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment at JRM without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
