Dietary Cook/Dietary Aide

We are now hiring full time Dietary Cooks and part-time Dietary Aides , we do support the vaccine mandate, but we do except religious and medical exemptions - your primary purpose of the dietary aide position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain a good working rapport with inner-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents .Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm emvironment throughout the department.Dietary Service includes:As the Dietary Cook you will communicate with Food Service Manager, follow menus and special diet instructions, meet required meal schedules and supervises departmental services as assigned by the Food Service ManagerPreparing and serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearanceAssist in serving meals as nessary and on a timely mannerServe food in accordance wirh established portion control proceduresAssist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and proceduresClean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators , etc.Sweep and mop floors as directedclean solied utensils, etc. to wash aeraReturn clean utensils to proper storage areaswash and clean utensils as directedCarry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment,supplies, etc.Set up meal trays, food carts , dining room etc. as directedAssist cook in preparaing mealsObtain food supplies for next mealAssist in checking diet trays before distributionPerform dishwashing/cleaning procedures, Assure that utensils, etc. are readily available for next mealRemove food trays from carts, dining room, etc. and take to dishwashing area.Prepare and deliver snacks as instructedFollow established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasksFollow all safety regulations and precautions at all times.
