Able to lead line and assist in training.\r\nJob DutiesPerforms manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as, filling, labeling, packing, or closing containers.\r\nAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.\r\nResponsible for machine adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.\r\nAbility to identify problems, troubleshoot, and train on the cardboard baler, plastic baler, carton erector, pallet jack, pick and place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape gun, and additional production equipment.\r\nValidates and organizes jobs in accordance with bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and future job orders.\r\nResponsible for conducting quality inspection of goods at the correct intervals, ensuring that product is packaged according to the work order with the expectation to identify and correct any quality issues.\r\nAssists in training assigned full time/temp operators and assists other teams as needed.\r\nForklift experience required.\r\nPromotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and procedures.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and lead others.\r\nCoordinates and performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment.\r\nResponsible for accurate and timely reporting of production, labor and scrap incurred during the shift.\r\nMust have the ability to temporarily run manufacturing lines in the absence of a working supervisor.\r\nAssist with MH, B, and C operator roles when needed.\r\nQualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required.\r\n3-5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment in a lead role; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.\r\nMust be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.\r\nMust have ability to perform simple math calculations.\r\nMust be computer literate.\r\nMust be certified to drive all types of forklift.\r\nPay rate is $20 - $25 an hour depending on experience.
