Overview PLEASE DO NOT CALL We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, play areas, and equipment. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Assist with the check-in and check-out process for pets, ensuring a smooth experience for pet owners. Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively. Support veterinary technicians during examinations or treatments as needed. Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being and address any questions or concerns. Requirements Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is essential. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and welfare. Must be able to lift and handle animals safely.
