Position Summary:
Our company is looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our quality control team as a CMM Programmer. In addition to programming, performing and troubleshooting the calibration of the coordinate measuring machine, you will also use precise measurement tools to ensure our products meet our manufacturing standards. Applicants need to be able to read blueprints and interpret GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols, so some technical training or professional experience is required.
How You will Do it
Program, calibrate and troubleshoot the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
Conduct quality control inspections
Perform maintenance as necessary
Work with quality team to meet manufacturing deadlines
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor/ Associate degree is preferred or 3-5 years of technical training
Blueprint reading skills
Familiarity with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols
Experience with precise measurement tools, such as caliper, micrometer, pin gage, height gage, dial indicator, Pi tape, deltronic pins, use tripod to inspect surface flatness, bore gage, optical comparator-angle/distance, fillet gage, radius gage set, surface finish chart, thread gage 2A/2B, profilometer, groove micrometer, blade micrometer, super micrometer
