You will take ownership of database platforms and data management processes, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, high-performing and fit for purpose. You will help maintain the integrity of business-critical data, support service continuity and contribute to the organisation's wider data governance and enterprise data management objectives.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nOwn and support database platforms, ensuring performance, availability, resilience and security.\r\nMonitor, diagnose and resolve database and data-related incidents, problems and performance issues.\r\nManage backup, recovery, high-availability and disaster recovery processes.\r\nSupport data migrations, data loads, integrations and data transformation activities.\r\nApply and maintain data governance standards, controls and policies.\r\nSupport the management of data quality, metadata, data structures and data catalogues.\r\nEnsure database environments comply with data protection, security and regulatory requirements.\r\nProvide technical advice and recommendations on database operations, resilience and service improvement.\r\nSupport reliable and secure datasets used for reporting and analytics platforms, including Power BI environments.\r\nIdentify and implement opportunities for automation, optimisation and continuous improvement.\r\nProduce and maintain clear technical documentation, processes and procedures.\r\nAct as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across the organisation.\r\nQualifications\r\nProven experience as a Database Administrator or Data Management professional in live production environments.\r\nStrong technical expertise in SQL Server, including ability to write, optimise and troubleshoot SQL queries, scripts and database processes.\r\nExperience managing, transforming and consolidating data from multiple sources, with a strong understanding of data quality and governance principles.\r\nDemonstrable experience independently resolving complex database or data-related issues, balancing service continuity, data integrity, operational risk and compliance requirements.\r\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to interpret business and technical requirements and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.\r\nA data or database-related qualification, or equivalent professional experience, together with SQL Server training or certification.\r\nBenefits\r\n40 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), flexible working and a generous pension plan.\r\nEquality, Diversity and Inclusion\r\nRichmond & Wandsworth Better Service Partnership are committed to making recruitment as inclusive as possible.
