SummaryPrepares request for procurement of material through a purchase order system. Receives and verifies items against receiving documents, notes discrepancies and reports findings. Processes returns on a daily basis for credit. Submits purchase orders to vendors. Move material or merchandise to the storage area. May compile and forward inventory data for manual or automated systems. Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials. Examines stock for deterioration, damaged and expired items. Locates and moves designated items from storage area, assembles prepares and makes ready for shipment. Ensure that shipments are properly labeled, packed or crated. Assists the Material Manager in the inventory process by updating inventory sheets as needed and participates in the yearly inventory count.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCreate implant POsSubmitting POs to implant vendors daily Working with vendors to obtain credit for returned itemsWorking with other facilities to ensure borrowed/loaned items are returnedCreates new items in Cerner once item is approved for useAbility to work PO Journal Receiving PO on a daily basisResolving price discrepancies with APCommunicates all backordered materials by sending out a report weekly to all management.Verifies cost on items through GPO and notifies manager if discrepancies are found for resolution.Place specialty orders and quote pricing internallyAbility to receive, discharge, process and assemble orders to be issued or shipped.Knowledge of safe handling practices and storage of hazardous materials.Knowledge and ability to perform safe lifting techniques with repetitive motion.Ability to organize medical products and equipment files using Purchase Order / Invoice system. Receives all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors.Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the warehouse and facility.Makes corrections, deletions and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the PAR level replenishment systems throughout the facility. Verifies receipt of goods to packing slips to assure accuracy.Assists in the weekly purchase of goods.Ability to operate all equipment utilized in transporting materials.Performs any duties as assigned by the Manager of Materials Management.Pre-codes and submits orders for inventory in an expeditious manner.
