This includes academic buildings, dormitories, athletic facilities, and administrative spaces. This role is critical in ensuring safe, reliable, and code-compliant environment for student-athletes, team members, and guests within a 24/7 residential campus community. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment across campus facilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including power outages, faulty circuits, and equipment malfunctionsPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and code complianceMaintain and repair interior and exterior lighting, including dorms athletic fields, walkways, and emergency lighting systemsSupport and maintain backup power systems, including generators and transfer switchesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagramsEnsure all electrical work complies with NEC, state, and local codes, as well as IMGA safety standardsRespond promptly to electrical service requests, work orders, and urgent or after-hours repairsMaintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system statusMonitor electrical systems and report major repair or upgrade needs to leadershipAssist in overseeing and coordinating work performed by outside electrical contractors and vendorsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized mannerMaintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendorsSupport campus events and operations requiring temporary or specialized electrical setupsOther duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Valid Florida Driver's License or the ability to obtain oneValid Electrician License (Journeyman or Master preferred, depending on state requirements)Minimum 3+ years of electrical experience in commercial, institutional, or campus environments preferredStrong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and code complianceAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprintsExperience operating heavy equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers/lulls) in accordance with safety standards; certifications preferredFamiliarity with low-voltage systems (fire alarms, access control, data systems) is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a teamCommitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 50lbsAbility to stand and walk for duration of shiftAbility to climb ladders and work at high elevationsAbility to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weatherAbility to operate office equipment such as computersRequires manual dexterity to use and operate equipment and toolsAbility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed Background Requirements: Requires a background check upon offerRequires a pre-employment drug screen upon offer Benefits: As a full-time member of our team, you will enjoy a comprehensive offering listed below.
