At Encorus, you’ll learn from experienced Professional Engineers while contributing to local and national projects across a range of industries, from industrial facilities and commercial buildings to complex multidisciplinary projects.\n\nThis full-time, in-office position is based in our Rochester, NY office. You’ll support structural design and analysis, prepare engineering drawings and technical documentation, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, and drafting teams. Along the way, you’ll gain experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures while developing your technical skills through hands-on work, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAssist with the design and analysis of structural systems for industrial, commercial, and other projects.\nPrepare and revise structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD, RISA 3D, and/or Revit.\nPerform basic structural calculations and assist with the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures under the guidance of senior engineers.\nCoordinate structural designs with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure an integrated project approach.\nSupport project documentation, including specifications, calculations, material takeoffs, estimates, and technical reports.\nConduct site visits and field investigations to document existing conditions and support project development.\nReview shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and assist with construction administration and field observations.\nResearch applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements to support accurate and compliant designs.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nExperience in structural design or asset management (internships or early full-time experience is a requirement).\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) registration preferred.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MathCAD, and Risa3D or similar software.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nWilling and able to work in both office and field environments.\nValid driver's license with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.\nAbility to pass pre-employment background checks.\nAbility to comply with the company’s drug screening requirements, including pre-employment and random testing.\nPay Range: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
