The O & M Field Technician will be responsible for tracking system performance via live web portals, responding to service requests, communicating service schedules with customers, and performing field service including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of battery energy storage systems (roof and ground mount). The Sustineo candidate should have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting capabilities, and excellent organizational skills necessary to achieve production and must be capable of working independently or in a team environment.\nSustineo is seeking an O&M Technician who is passionate about renewable energy technology, has excellent collaboration and communication skills, and will thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMonitor all projects in web-enabled portals\nEnsure systems are meeting production output targets, and schedule preventative or corrective services when warranted\nPerform field diagnosis and troubleshoot various project systems issues such as inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, communications equipment, etc.\nEnsure that maintenance schedules are adhered to\nCreate and/or respond to support tickets\nHandle scheduling with clients when field service is required\nWork with other members of the maintenance team, sub-contractors, and other groups to continuously improve the process and system performance, drive product quality and maintenance cost improvement\nAssist in training other O&M Technicians, or co-workers as required\nMust demonstrate exemplary ethics and professional standards at all times\n\nShall Exhibit the Following Expertise:\nPreferred experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring\nComputer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft Office software\nAbility to learn and use project management software such as ProCore\nAbility to use CRM online systems\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nMinimum GED or HS diploma required; college degree preferred\nNABCEP certification is a plus\nMinimum 2 years of technical experience in maintaining and troubleshooting machinery or electrical equipment preferred in the renewable energy industry\nWillingness to travel as required\nMust be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs when required on-site visits\nMust be able to wear PPE as required for specific clients and sites\nMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)\nMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation\n\nOther Pertinent Information:\nPay transparency: The position includes medical/dental insurance, voluntary vision insurance, health savings account, $65.00 per diem on qualified travel, and provides a base pay of 52,000 to 72,800 based on experience and qualifications.\nThe position will be staffed full-time in Southern California, with our headquarters in San Diego, California.
