The Rehab Aide may also be responsible for assisting in front desk job duties as necessary.\r\nDuties include, but are not limited to:\r\nAssists the therapists in the treatment of non-Medicare patients, under the therapists' direct supervision, including but not limited to the following: retrieving and/or assisting therapists with set up and administration of modalities; setting up exercise machines as necessary for each individual non-Medicare patient; monitoring exercise repetitions/form as requested by the therapists for non-Medicare patients.\r\nCleans plinths, equipment, counter tops, and any other surfaces as necessary to disinfect clinic and maintain CAO's high standards of cleanliness.\r\nAdheres to work schedules, which are created to maximize hours of patient care and patient volume, therefore, schedules may vary from day to day depending on patient need, including early morning hours, evening hours and Saturday hours depending on clinic.\r\nAssists with doing laundry (if applicable) and ensuring towels, modality accessories, etc. are clean, folded and put away in the appropriate place.\r\nPerforms front desk job duties including but not limited to answering the phone, scheduling patients, patient registration, insurance verification and any other duties as specified by Clinic Manager/Therapy Director.\r\nIs responsible for attending monthly clinic staff meetings or if unable to attend, he/she is responsible for obtaining a copy of the written agenda from the Clinic Manager/Therapy Director.\r\nAssists with the smooth running of the clinic, which may include variations in scheduled hours, as well as staffing at another CAO location.\r\nActively participates in the Therapy team, including but not limited to staff meetings, CAO sponsored events, webinars, in-services, and departmental meetings.\r\nMay be required to work evenings depending on Practice operating hours and needs of the therapy clinic.\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\r\nRequired Education & Experience\r\nHigh School Diploma required.\r\nExperience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records.\r\nMaintains CPR Certification for Healthcare Professionals\r\nCompetencies/Required Skills & Abilities\r\nStrong Interpersonal Skills - Ability to develop relationships and collaborate in a decentralized organization.\r\nDemonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results.\r\nStrong oral and written communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience\r\nRequired to be proficient in Windows based office technologies (e.g., Word, Excel)\r\nAble to work independently.\r\nExudes professionalism in presentation.\r\nMust be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in the English language.\r\nMust participate in CAO's Rehab Aide training and pass CAO's Rehab Aide proficiency exam.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.\r\nMust be able to use appropriate body mechanics when making necessary transfers and helping patients with exercises.\r\nRequires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting.\r\nSome heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a standard work shift.\r\nAdequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone.\r\nRequires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, medical equipment, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, and telephone.\r\nMust be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.\r\nVisual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens.\r\nRequires exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
