We are looking for an engineer who actively uses AI throughout the software development lifecycle and has participated in code modernization or application transformation initiatives driven by an agentic SDLC.\n\nPay: $70.00–$90.00 per hour (W-2)\nFor exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience or specialized technical skills, compensation above the listed range may be considered. If your background aligns well with the role, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Technical Experience\nStrong Next.js development experience\nAdvanced TypeScript and React skills\nStrong SQL and relational database experience\nExtensive experience building and integrating APIs\nExperience working in API-heavy architectures\nHands-on experience using Cursor as part of the development workflow\nExperience using AI coding agents and AI-assisted development techniques beyond simple code completion\nAI-Native Development Experience\nCandidates must have real-world experience working in an AI-native / agentic development environment, including:\nUsing AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle\nAgent-assisted code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation\nModernizing legacy applications using AI-assisted development workflows\nUsing agents to understand and transform existing codebases\nApplying human review, testing, and engineering judgment to AI-generated code\nWorking within an agentic SDLC rather than simply using AI as an occasional productivity tool\nCode Modernization\nWe are particularly interested in engineers who have helped transform legacy applications into modern architectures.\nExperience may include:\nLegacy application assessment and codebase analysis\nIncremental modernization and refactoring\nBreaking monolithic applications into modern services or APIs\nMigrating legacy front ends to React / Next.js\nModernizing database and integration layers\nUsing AI agents to accelerate code analysis, transformation, testing, and migration\nNice to Have\nPHP\nMySQL\nExperience modernizing PHP/MySQL applications\nMigration from legacy PHP applications into modern Next.js / TypeScript / React architectures\nExperience designing or implementing agentic engineering workflows\nThe Ideal Candidate\nYou are an experienced software engineer who has fundamentally changed the way you develop software because of AI.\nYou don't just occasionally ask an LLM to write a function.
