Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode which enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.SummaryAmprius is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance of facility infrastructure and assigned production and R&D equipment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and general upkeep needed to support safe and reliable operations across the site.The Maintenance Technician reports to the Senior Manager, Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety and works under the day-to-day direction of the Lead Facilities Technician. This role is expected to support both facility related maintenance and equipment maintenance based on business needs and team priorities.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on assigned production and R&D equipment in accordance with approved procedures, schedules, and team prioritiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on facility infrastructure including HVAC, CDA, DI water, exhaust, pumps, filters, and other basic utility systemsTroubleshoot equipment and facility related issues and complete repairs that are within assigned skill level and scopeEscalate complex equipment failures, facility issues, safety concerns, and recurring problems to the Lead Facilities Technician or management as neededSupport maintenance activities that improve equipment uptime, facility reliability, and overall site readinessComplete scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks with accurate documentation of work performed, findings, and parts usedAssist with equipment moves, installation support, demolition support, and setup of lab, production, or facility related infrastructureSupport basic fabrication, assembly, and mechanical work needed for maintenance tasks, equipment support, carts, benches, racks, or similar itemsMaintain tools, spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies in an organized and ready stateRespond to maintenance requests from R&D, Production, Lab, and other internal teams in a timely and professional mannerCoordinate with the Lead Facilities Technician and other team members to prioritize work and minimize disruption to operationsFollow established maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and housekeeping expectations at all timesSupport contractors and vendors as assigned, including access, escorting, work area preparation, and follow upMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment across maintenance areas, shops, and assigned work locationsAssist with updating maintenance records, checklists, and related documentation in company systemsMonitor PPE stock levels throughout the facility and ensure supplies are replenished in designated areas as neededRecord PPE inventory levels and communicate restocking needs in a timely mannerOrder PPE supplies as needed in alignment with department expectations and approved purchasing processesMonitor janitorial supply levels throughout the facility and ensure materials are replenished and available for site useRecord janitorial inventory levels and order replacement supplies as neededMaintain organized storage areas for PPE and janitorial supplies to support cleanliness, visibility, and efficient useAssist with assigned cross functional support work such as preparing batteries for disposal, supporting shipping activities, wrapping pallets, scanning cells, or similar site needs as requiredPerform other maintenance and site support duties as assigned in support of departmental and company goalsRequirementsEducation and Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredMinimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, lab, or similar technical environmentExperience supporting preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment preferredBasic understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or utility systems preferredExperience working in R&D, production, or facility support environments is a plusRequired Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work with limited supervisionBasic troubleshooting ability for mechanical and equipment related issuesFamiliarity with common maintenance tools, hand tools, and basic power toolsAbility to follow written procedures, schedules, and verbal directionStrong attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned workAbility to communicate clearly with technicians, internal customers, vendors, and managementBasic computer skills for email, data entry, work orders, and maintenance recordsAbility to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing prioritiesWork Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Physical Demands & Work Location: Fremont, CA: This is an on-site role.
