Owner-Operator Support Specialist (Logistics)

This role serves as a training liaison and support partner for Owner-Operators (Business Capacity Owners). The position focuses on onboarding, education, and ongoing operational support to help drivers succeed and maximize their business performance.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPosition SummaryAs an Owner-Operator Support & Success Specialist, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting Owner-Operators throughout their lifecycle. This includes setting clear revenue expectations, addressing operational questions, and conducting post-orientation follow-ups to ensure long-term success.You will collaborate cross-functionally with advisors, safety coordinators, and agents while maintaining accurate system records and ensuring consistent communication across all stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish revenue expectations and provide solutions to operational questions or concernsConduct post-orientation follow-ups to assess engagement and support ongoing needsServe as a communication bridge between Owner-Operators, advisors, safety coordinators, and agentsMaintain accurate contractor, tractor, and operator records in internal systemsAssist with orientation and safety program support, including training sessions, recertifications, and equipment distributionEducate Owner-Operators on available tools and resources to support business performance and efficiencyHandle inbound inquiries, participate in retention initiatives, and support safety meetings as needed (occasional after-hours involvement)Facilitate issue resolution between stakeholders and assist with compliance reviews when requiredSupport training programs, including simulator usage, and contribute to special projectsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 1 year of experience in customer support, transportation, or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsPrior leadership experienceExperience supporting Owner-Operators or independent contractorsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational skills with the ability to engage and motivate othersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficiency with data entry systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong multitasking and time management abilities with minimal supervisionComfortable handling physical tasks, including lifting up to 25–50 lbsEOCAscendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.Ascendo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, parental status, military service or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law
