This is a hands-on technical role at the intersection of mechanical systems, design, and customer-facing project support. The right candidate thrives on complex engineering problems, is comfortable moving between office and field, and wants their work to matter. The systems decarbonize commercial buildings by replacing conventional HVAC infrastructure a technology that performs better, lasts longer, and qualifies for significant federal tax incentives.The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science and experience in developing multiple applications. This candidate should be able to generate clean code and optimal solutions based on the outlined criteria. This candidate should also work closely with various teams in order to establish codes to utilize and ultimately, execute in creating a highly functional application.Responsibilities:Technical Resource: Serve as the primary technical resource across Preconstruction, Sales, and Project Management — supporting system design, performance analysis, and proposal development.Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team on technical presentations, submittals, and customer questions. Translate complex geothermal and HVAC concepts for diverse audiences including building owners, engineers, and contractors.Design & Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation including system schematics, installation guides, and operational manuals. Create CAD drawings to support project design and execution.Performance Analysis: Perform calculations to evaluate the impact of varying flows and temperatures on system performance. Analyze field data to identify opportunities for optimization.Field Support: Provide on-site technical assistance during installation, commissioning, and startup. Evaluate site conditions, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions in real time.End-User Training: Develop training materials for building operators and facility teams and deliver training on-site.Innovation Integration: Work with the R&D team to incorporate new technologies and design improvements into standard offerings. Contribute to the evolution of the engineering practices and design standards.Continuous Improvement: Stay current on industry trends in geothermal and HVAC technology. Bring new knowledge back into the processes and product development.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC design, mechanical or electrical systems engineering, or a related field.Experience with geothermal systems is a strong plus.Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.  Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).Working knowledge of MS Office and Bluebeam.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
