{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"233f9bf1bf7fe759858d9a81","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/233f9bf1bf7fe759858d9a81","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/233f9bf1bf7fe759858d9a81","title":"Production Supervisor","description":"Assists in the orientation, training, development and assignment of employees within their department; provides leadership direction for the assigned team.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:\n\nEnforce safety regulations.\nDetermine daily department requirements using input from planning tools and production manager, to ensure that daily goals are met.\nProvide training as needed to meet department needs.\nIdentify daily work tasks for the team members utilizing the work orders.\nAccountable for daily/weekly metrics with respect to cost, schedule, quality and safety.\nCoordinate activities and communicate with Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Control, and Human Resources Departments as needed.\nParticipate and cultivate team engagement in 6S and process improvement programs; i.e. CITI program, 6S audits, etc.\nAbility to track daily performance using charts, graphs or other metric programs.\nDirect and perform duties as needed to meet department needs; use correct procedures in a teamwork environment.\nInspect components for fit and finish / or interpret departmental trends for anomalies and inform Department Manager of any issues.\nConform with the organization’s ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements.\nAssist Production Manager with various tasks as requested.\nAssist in the creation and development of systems, processes, and metrics to drive and maintain improvement across the entire factory.\nGenerate and coordinate execution of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.\nAssist production personnel in solving work-related problems.\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nIndividuals who need reasonable accommodations to enable them to perform these essential functions should discuss their needs with Human Resources. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.\n\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years of related experience in a factory or manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nLanguage Ability\nFor business and safety reasons, ability to write reports and business correspondence in English and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, technicians, and assemblers in English.\n\nQuality Commitment\nAssist the organization with establishing practices that align with ISO requirements.\n\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.\n\nComputer Skills\nProficiency in MS Office\n\nOther Skills\nAbility to use basic hand tools.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.\n\nThe noise level in the work and shop environment is moderate to loud.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this position the employee may occasionally be required to work near fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
