3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance

Position Overview: The 3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment used in the production of plastic products. This role ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and optimizing production processes.Key Responsibilities:Preventive Maintenance:Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.Maintain records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.Troubleshooting and Repairs:Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.Utilize various tools and diagnostic equipment to identify problems and implement effective solutions.Equipment Upgrades and Modifications:Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Implement modifications and upgrades to existing equipment to improve performance and reliability.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.Report any recurring issues or major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor for further action.Collaboration:Work closely with production staff to understand equipment issues and production requirements.Coordinate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work 3rd shift hours and occasional overtime as needed.Working Conditions:This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
