Experience with the HURCO brand lathe and mill is a plus.\nBlueprint reading skills and the ability to use various types of micrometers and calipers, etc. is necessary, as well.\nDuties\nSet up and operate Wire EDM machines, ensuring accurate cutting of complex metal parts according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications.\nProgram CNC machinery using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise machining paths.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.\nPerform routine maintenance on CNC and EDM equipment, including calibration, tool changes, and troubleshooting machine issues.\nUse precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet strict tolerances.\nHandle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, or packaging as needed.\nMaintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, quality checks, and maintenance logs to support continuous process improvement.\nExperience\nProven experience operating Wire EDM machines with a strong understanding of electrical discharge machining principles.\nHands-on experience programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.\nSolid knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings for precise manufacturing.\nBackground in manufacturing or factory environments with exposure to machining processes such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines.\nFamiliarity with tooling setup, materials handling procedures, and safety protocols within a manufacturing facility.\nAbility to use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers accurately; basic math skills are essential for calculations related to machining tolerances.\nExperience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, or fabricating components is a plus.\nStrong mechanical aptitude combined with factory experience in a fast-paced production environment focused on quality control and efficiency.
