Today, Spenard Builders Supply is owned by Builders FirstSource, the largest supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to the residential construction market in the U.S. We provide customers an integrated homebuilding solution, offering manufacturing, supply, delivery and installation for a full range of structural and related building products.\n\nPURPOSE\n\nThis is an entry-level position that performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs by performing the following duties.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPlaces parts in specified relationship to each other.\nBolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.\nCut products to specific measurements as needed.\nRemoves defective products as needed.\nTends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.\nWorks at different workstations as production needs require.\nWorks in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.\nCleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n\nThere are no requirements in terms of education or experience.\nPrior carpentry experience helpful.\nCOMPETENCIES\n\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to read tape measure.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nOvertime work could be involved.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
