engagement, new hire, exit interviews, and pulse surveysPayroll, Benefits & HR AdministrationManaging compensation programs to ensure the company offers a competitive total compensation package to recruit and retain the right talent to achieve the annual business planCompleting matching of internal positions to market survey, price positions based on size of company and state/national locations, and analyze shifts in the marketplace on a semi-annual basisProcess and administer payroll accurately and timelyAdminister employee benefits and support annual open enrollment activitiesMaintain HRIS systems and employee recordsManage PTO tracking, employee files, employment verifications, and HR documentationAssist with 401(k) administration and employee benefit communicationManaging the annual merit increase budget processEnsuring effective administration and compliance with all aspects of the leave programs including short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and any state required paid disability or paid FMLA plansValidating the payroll journal on a monthly basisSafety, Workers Compensation & ComplianceCoordinate OSHA compliance and employee safety training initiativesAdminister workers’ compensation claims and related documentationMaintain and update company policies, procedures, and employee handbook materialsSupport compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsAssist with investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and performance improvement plansPartner with external vendors, brokers, legal counsel, and insurance providers as neededCompliance and Risk ManagementEnsuring compliance with Company policies and all applicable lawsResearching and provide updates on federal and state employment laws and implement any required changesOverseeing the coordination of the Workers Compensation program including the annual auditOverseeing employee expense compliance, organizing employee expense audits, refreshing company policy’s for expensesDeveloping an HR standard operating procedure manual.Managing the completion and filing of the 5500s annuallyMaintaining the corporate HR policies including research and implementing any new policies to support a highly engaged work environmentManaging the HR record retention program and ensure the records are purged according to corporate policiesImplementing opportunities to continuously improve programs and processesPrepare HR-related reports, metrics, and KPI trackingAssist executive leadership with special projects and organizational initiativesPerform other duties as assigned QualificationsAt a minimum you'll need:QualificationsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsStrong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalismStrong working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirementsExperience administering payroll, benefits, and HRIS systemsKnowledge of OSHA, workers’ compensation, and employee safety practices preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and WordAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with strong follow-through and accountabilityEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred3–7 years of progressive HR experience preferredExperience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferredPayroll administration experience preferredSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar certification is a plusA combination of education and experience may be considered. TravelTravel will be limited and not exceed 15%.
