Title: Automation EngineerLocation: Georgetown, TXEmployment Type: Direct HireSalary: $130,000Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or Authorized to Work in the United States without sponsorshipPosition SummaryWe are seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced automation systems within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will focus on robotics, material handling systems, automated testing platforms, and production automation initiatives that drive operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and scalable manufacturing processes.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, system integration, and manufacturing process optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy automation solutions for manufacturing and assembly processesIntegrate industrial systems including conveyors, robotics, AGVs, ASRS, sensors, and other automated equipment into production linesDevelop, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent)Build, support, and optimize automated testing and validation systems for new product introduction (NPI) and production environmentsTroubleshoot automation equipment and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure production stabilityDrive manufacturing efficiency through automation and continuous improvement initiativesDevelop scripts and automation tools using Python, C#, Ladder Logic, or similar technologiesCollaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support production objectivesEnsure compliance with safety, quality, reliability, and production standardsSupport system integration, commissioning, validation, and ongoing maintenance activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field5+ years of experience in automation engineering, manufacturing systems, robotics, or related disciplinesStrong hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent)Experience with industrial automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, motion control, machine vision, or related technologiesFamiliarity with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), or smart factory technologiesProgramming experience with Python, C#, Ladder Logic, or similar automation technologiesStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and system integration skillsUnderstanding of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, uptime, throughput, and yieldPreferred QualificationsExperience within server, electronics, semiconductor, or high-volume manufacturing environmentsExposure to Industry 4.0, digital transformation, or smart factory initiativesExperience with predictive maintenance and data-driven manufacturing optimizationFamiliarity with HMI and SCADA systemsExperience working within global and cross-functional engineering teamsWhy Consider This Opportunity?Join a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing environmentWork on cutting-edge automation, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing systemsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and manufacturing teamsPlay a key role in driving automation strategy and operational excellenceOpportunity for long-term career growth and advancement within a high-tech manufacturing organizationAbout INSPYR Solutions Technology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
