3 Days Onsite/2 Days Remote\nOpen to C2C\nJob Description\nThe Senior Data Analyst with Data Modeling expertise will primarily be responsible for detailed field-level analysis, metadata analysis and profiling of internal and external sources as well as creation of conceptual, logical physical, and dimensional data models as part of the ongoing process improvement programs.\nScope of Services:\nThe Senior Data Analyst shall provide the Data Management team with technical expertise for the completion of Data Profiling/Cleansing, Conversion/Migration and Validation efforts part Legacy Replacement initiative as well as ongoing process improvement programs.\nThe following deliverables shall apply:\nParticipate in identification, inventory, and classification of critical data.\nWork with data SME’s to document data quality rules and definitions.\nActively participate in optimization and performance tuning of existing ETL and SQL processes.\nExtract business rules from the existing Legacy code and create Source-to-Target mappings.\nTransform business rules and data quality rules into ETL and/or SQL technical specifications.\nDevelop complex SQL data validations based on STTMs and target Data Models.\nProvide technical and analytical support to data integrity and quality initiatives.\nCollaborate with SME’s and technical leads in identifying and addressing data quality gaps.\nWork with IT partners to remediate identified gaps using both manual and automated solutions.\nSupport processes that proactively detect, correct, and prevent invalid data values.\nDefect handling and problem resolution.\nMandatory Skills/Experience\nMinimum of five (5) years of source-to-target data mapping experience in a mixed Mainframe and Relational Database environments.\nExperience creating data dictionary documentation with business terms, valid values, and definitions.\nExperience converting/migrating VSAM data to relational/dimensional SQL distributed databases.\nMinimum of three (3) years of recent experience developing applications using IBM DataStage ETL.\nExperience extracting field references and calculated data from COBOL programs.\nExperience with BMC Control-M workload automation software.\nExperience with GIT version control software.\nMinimum of three (3) years of recent experience with Pension Administration systems.\nTechnical Ability Mandatory:\nStrong SQL knowledge working with complex queries and stored procedures.\nProficiency in SSRS reports’ development.\nStrong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to receive and analyze requirements and propose a suitable solution that adheres to the team’s methodology.\nAbility to work in multiple environments: IBM Mainframe, Windows Server, and SQL Server.\nProficiency in mainframe applications encompassing COBOL, CICS and DB2.\nUnderstanding of data structures and their relationship to ETL applications.\nAbility to develop complex SQL data validations based on STTMs and target data Models.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and information-gathering skills along with fundamental technical troubleshooting abilities.\nDesirable Skills/Experience\nExperience extracting business rules from the existing legacy code.\nExperience with Data Quality/Profiling tools.\nExperience with Data Warehouses/Data Marts.\nExperience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).\nPrior experience working in a pension system, preferably New York State or New York City pension system.\nPay: $46.49 -
