You are accountable to drive consistent, high performance across all initiatives, and for ensuring consistency between your stores as measured by the P&L and other reports.\nWhat You'll Do\nAttract, hire, develop and retain the best team to meet both short and long-term business goals.\nMonitor performance and consistently followup to ensure results are delivered.\nDevelop individual and team performance & capabilities via clear expectations, intentional conversations, meaningful recognition and accountability.\nFoster and maintain an inclusive and collaborative work environment.\nIdentify themes in product performance across your portfolio and create a district merchandising plan to excel performance utilizing data points, strategy and seasonality\nLead effective store visits focused on driving behaviors which enable the team to consistently deliver results in all areas of the business.\nIdentify and use multiple ways to achieve goals when confronted with obstacles; plan for contingencies.\nIdentify and solve problems with sustainable solutions\nMaintain a keen awareness of the external market and competition\nEnsure stores are operating in compliance with all Gap Inc. policies and procedures\nWho You Are\nDemonstrated ability to drive results; execute based upon direction and manage multiple, competing priorities\nDemonstrated ability to build merchandising capability and coach to sustain merchant strength in stores\nDemonstrated ability to build diverse, high performing teams with an inclusive environment\nDemonstrated ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience via all channels\nDemonstrated ability to continually embrace challenges, take risks, learn fast and enable change.\nDemonstrated ability to achieve beyond what is expected, and take actions or use improvements or learnings to exceed existing goals.\nCollege degree preferred.\n3+ year’s multi-unit, high volume, complex business leadership preferred.\nFlexible to work days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.\nAbility to travel overnight and/or between stores as required.\nAbility to lift and carry 30lbs.\nBenefits at Gap\nMerchandise discount for our brands: 50% off regular-priced merchandise at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta, and 30% off at Outlet for all employees.\nOne of the most competitive Paid Time Off plans in the industry.*\nEmployees can take up to five “on the clock” hours each month to volunteer at a charity of their choice.*\nExtensive 401(k) plan with company matching for contributions up to four percent of an employee’s base pay.*\nEmployee stock purchase plan.*\nMedical, dental, vision and life insurance.*\nSee more of the benefits we offer.\nFor eligible employees\nGap Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
