Position: Program Analyst Location: Arlington, VA | Pentagon Work Environment: On Site Clearance: Secret Knowesis is currently seeking an experienced Program Analyst to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness by performing a variety of technical, managerial, and/or administrative project tasks. To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a SECRET clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Attend project meetings that include complex data and technical topics and communicate takeaways and necessary actions in line with the Customer’s and senior leader priorities Communicate with technical and data developers to assist P&R in leveraging data analytics Translate complex data and technology concepts and project updates to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner Tack multiple projects across a variety of subject matters; identify similarities, areas of integration, and opportunities for data sharing. Track multiple contract periods of performance and funds to ensure responsible execution and expenditure of funds for technical projects Advocate for P&R customer best interests to ensure integration and synchronization of efforts Provide talking points and prepare briefings for DoD senior leaders from to GS-15 level up to the Presidentially appointed Senate confirmed level. Facilitate discussions regarding data acquisitions to ensure reliable and responsible data sharing Review, edit, proofread, and assist others to write accurately on Defense policy matters; ensure products are error free, timely, and in compliance with the DOD Manual for Written Materials Conduct research to respond to internal and external inquiries Qualifications: Experience performing the same or similar work Minimum of five years of professional work experience Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, or prior military experience. Demonstrated skills to perform all required duties. Ability to work responsibly, independently, and with a team with minimal direct supervision. Experience with standard MS Office suite products Desired Skills and Experience: Critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team Project Management Ability to translate complex data issues into easy to understand policy language Familiarity with organization, structure, and business operations of the DoD, either by experience or education Anticipate needs of the government client and make recommendations accordingly Experience working with software development teams a plus Education: Bachelor's degree required Degree in Political Science, Security or Strategic Studies, or information systems preferred.
