Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements.\n\nDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nAttend project meetings that include complex data and technical topics and communicate takeaways and necessary actions in line with the Customer’s and senior leader priorities\nCommunicate with technical and data developers to assist P&R in leveraging data analytics\nTranslate complex data and technology concepts and project updates to senior leaders in a clear and concise manner\nTack multiple projects across a variety of subject matters; identify similarities, areas of integration, and opportunities for data sharing.\nTrack multiple contract periods of performance and funds to ensure responsible execution and expenditure of funds for technical projects\nAdvocate for P&R customer best interests to ensure integration and synchronization of efforts\nProvide talking points and prepare briefings for DoD senior leaders from to GS-15 level up to the Presidentially appointed Senate confirmed level.\nFacilitate discussions regarding data acquisitions to ensure reliable and responsible data sharing\nReview, edit, proofread, and assist others to write accurately on Defense policy matters; ensure products are error free, timely, and in compliance with the DOD Manual for Written Materials\nConduct research to respond to internal and external inquiries\n\nQualifications:\nExperience performing the same or similar work\nMinimum of five years of professional work experience\nExperience supporting the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, or prior military experience.\nDemonstrated skills to perform all required duties.\nAbility to work responsibly, independently, and with a team with minimal direct supervision.\nExperience with standard MS Office suite products\nDesired Skills and Experience:\nCritical thinking and problem solving skills\nAbility to work independently and in a team\nProject Management\nAbility to translate complex data issues into easy to understand policy language\nFamiliarity with organization, structure, and business operations of the DoD, either by experience or education\nAnticipate needs of the government client and make recommendations accordingly\nExperience working with software development teams a plus\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree required\nDegree in Political Science, Security or Strategic Studies, or information systems preferred.\nKnowesis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
