Engages business and technical teammates to align the direction and architectural approach that delivers value in a system and aligns with the value stream and Midmark enterprise architectures. Has deep knowledge of the domain technology and participates as an active team member developing code for release.\nMidmark will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.\n\nESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:\nDefines and creates system architectures and guides its implementation with Software Engineers and Software Developers.\nIdentifies and defines system architectures that streamline internal development and operations in the team. Creates and documents functional and detailed design architectures (services & data).\nLeads architecture design and technology decisions comprising of both in-house built and 3rd party software solutions.\nPerforms software development alongside Software Engineers and Software Developers to apply defined architectures.\nActively engages with Product Owners and technical teammates to aid in translating customer requirements into system requirements.\nLeads architecture definition and concepts within a system.\nWorks closely with Solution Architects and System Engineering, ensuring system architectures align with the value stream architecture.\nCollaborates to define, scope, and refine architecture backlog items.\nMentors, guides, and coaches Software Engineers and Developers on the practices of system and solution architectures.\nContinuously learns and applies industry best practices on modern software delivery practices. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to accomplish project and product objectives.\n\nSECONDARY DUTIES:\nNone\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nAdvanced degree or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field, or Associate degree with relevant work experience. 5+ years of software application development across multiple Cloud/Edge/Hybrid disciplines. 1+ years of software architecture design and implementation.\n\nCOMPETENCY and/or SKILL:\nAbility to combine business, information, technologies, and processes together to address specific system problems and/or technical improvements\nExhibits agile principles and scrum values in the delivery of increments\nProficient in DevOps execution\nSoftware/cloud architecture design\nService oriented architecture design\nStrong data management design\nKnowledgeable in system/software security\nStrong business and technical analysis\nCloud/Hybrid/Edge development experience\nCursory knowledge of systems engineering practices\nExcellent verbal and written communication\nStructured software testing practices (automated & manual)\nStrong organizational skills, including attention to detail\nComfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic technical environment\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nNone\nFounded in 1915, Midmark Corporation is the only company transforming healthcare experiences through innovative design within the medical, dental and animal health environments.
