We develop complex, radiation effects mitigated, designs that balance competing requirements in modern space programs, delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable our customers to achieve more in space.Position SummaryThe Electronics Technician is responsible for performing functional, operational, and environmental testing of electronic assemblies supporting advanced space and defense systems. This role supports production activities by executing standardized test procedures, documenting results, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring hardware meets performance and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically hands-on, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environment.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform manual or automated functional testing, operational and environmental tests to verify the performance and reliability of production assemblies.Follow written instructions to execute tasking in a standard and repeatable mannerSetup and break down testing work area, as per training and instruction, by applying basic electro-mechanical skillsDetermine test outcomes, record results, and recognize when to escalate issues.Recommend corrections, improvements to test procedures and/or processesParticipate in continuous improvement projectsComfortable using various meters and tools including multimeters, signal generators, etc.Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.Experience working in a team-based environment, ideally in production setting, where accurate and complete work is critical to next step in line.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)Minimum of 4 years of related experience or 2 yrs post-Secondary / Associates Degree with 0-2 yrs prior related experienceExperience handling electronics or printed circuit assemblies and electrical testDemonstrated ability to learn new/proprietary software in a timely mannerProficiency in the utilization of computer software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelPreferred QualificationsAssociates or Vocational degree in Electrical Technology, or similarWorking ConditionsESD production environment. Some exposure to machine noise; hearing protection may be required.Must have availability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts as scheduled.Overtime and weekends may be requested to fulfill needs.Primarily located in Chantilly with flexibility to occasionally work in Fairfax.Occasionally lifting up 25 lbs. exertion.
