Part-Time Furniture Relocation Laborer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Relocation Laborer to assist with moving, loading, unloading, and positioning furniture at residential and commercial locations. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.The Part Time Furniture Relocation Laborer supports PCI Support Services and reports to the project manager. This position is 100% on site.Candidates will be required to enter federal government facilities and therefore must be able to pass drug and background screenings.Duties And ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload, and transport furniture and household items safelyLift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects up and down stairs and through tight spacesWrap, pad, and secure furniture to prevent damage during transportDisassemble and reassemble furniture as neededFollow supervisor instructions and work efficiently as part of a teamMaintain a clean and organized work area, truck, and job siteTreat customers and their property with professionalism and careFollow all safety guidelines and proper lifting techniquesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum of 1 year verifiable job related experience requiredWell organized, reliable, and responsibleMust be able to routinely walk up and down stairs, climb ladder, stand, bend, and carry items weighing from 50-80 poundsAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to follow oral and written instructions Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this positionAbility to lift 50–100 lbs repeatedly throughout the dayPhysically fit and comfortable with manual laborReliable, punctual, and strong work ethicAbility to follow directions and work well with othersGood communication and customer service skillsPrior moving, warehouse, or labor experience is a plus but not requiredMust possess a valid state driver’s licenseAbility to comply with all other requirements as specified within the Ecke Personnel Policies and ProceduresPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person in a noisy environment, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
