This position is assigned to a licensed child care/day care environment, where maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for children, families, staff, and visitors is essential.\n\nThe ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, integrity, strong communication skills, and sound judgment while interacting with children, parents, faculty, and the public. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPatrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility.\nMonitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals access the facility.\nGreet and assist parents, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.\nMaintain a safe and secure environment for children, employees, and visitors.\nMonitor surveillance cameras and security systems.\nRespond promptly to suspicious activity, emergencies, and security incidents.\nEnforce facility policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service.\nRemove unauthorized individuals or trespassers when necessary.\nComplete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.\nCoordinate with day care management and emergency responders when appropriate.\nQualifications\n\nPrevious experience as a Security Officer, Security Guard, or in a similar public safety role preferred.\nValid Maryland Security Guard Certification.\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nStrong knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to prepare detailed incident and activity reports.\nAbility to operate surveillance cameras and other security equipment.\nHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.\nStrong observational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.\nAbility to work effectively in a child care/day care environment and interact professionally with children, parents, guardians, and staff.\nAbility to remain calm, patient, and professional during emergencies or stressful situations.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nCPR/AED and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).\nExperience working in schools, educational facilities, child care centers, or other environments serving children.\nCustomer service experience in a public-facing role.\nSaberOne Security Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
