In the position of Electrical Engineer, you’ll contribute to hands-on product development, design reviews, and testing to deliver transformative, high-quality consumer products. This role focuses on New Product Introductions (NPI), product launches, and continuous improvements, ensuring compliance & safety with industry standards while enhancing functionality and consumer experience.\n\nResponsibilities:\nProduct Development & NPI\nParticipate in hands-on design review, prototyping, and validation of consumer appliance electrical systems, including electronic components, control panels, graphical user interfaces, and mechanism controls.\nSupport electrical aspects of NPI efforts, contributing to timely, high-quality product launches.\nTroubleshoot and refine designs to improve performance, reliability, and user experience throughout the product lifecycle.\nCollaborate with product design, manufacturing and quality teams to support efficient and reliable production processes, addressing design-to-production challenges.\nAssist in preparing test plans, reports and Product Engineering documentation.\nProduct Safety & Compliance\nWork with suppliers of electrical components and compliance agencies to support product safety, reliability, and performance reviews.\nEnsure designs meet compliance standards (e.g., UL, DSA, FCC, DOE) through collaboration with third-party labs and internal teams.\nProvide technical expertise to support compliance activities, ensuring accurate documentation and minimal disruption.\nCollaboration\nCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, compliance specialists, and lab technicians.\nActively participate in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting, applying a hands-on approach to problem-solving.\nContribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing and product development teams.\nOccasional travel required.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.\nHands-on experience in consumer product development, with expertise in prototyping, NPI, and compliance.\nProficiency in electrical controls, schematics, and component specification for consumer products.\nKnowledge of compliance standards (UL, CSA, FCC) and regulatory frameworks.\nExperience with cross-functional collaboration in design, engineering, and manufacturing.\nExpertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\n\nCompensation for this position\nThe compensation range for this role is $54,484-$102,157. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location.
