As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you'll design infrastructure that's as mission-critical as the satellites it supports: platforms built to run 24/7 without compromise. Your infrastructure will be the foundation for applications Mission Operators use to safely command our satellites and maintain situational awareness. Your expertise will guide our company strategy in leveraging the cloud for hosting critical applications and improving developer productivity.\nThis role supports both commercial and U.S. Government programs.\nRole\nDesign, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms that host mission-critical applications\nHarden infrastructure for resilience and build self-healing systems with minimal downtime\nDevelop observability pipelines that give insight into cluster health and cost\nPartner with teams across the engineering org to ensure their application requirements and SLAs are met\nChampion best practices in software reliability, security, and scalability across the engineering org\nRequirements\n3+ years experience in Infrastructure and/or Site Reliability engineering\nBachelor of Science in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology)\nExperience deploying and maintaining production Kubernetes clusters\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)\nProficiency with Python or other scripting language\nUnderstanding of cloud spend optimization and best practices for managing cost\nBonus\nExperience with on prem or baremetal Kubernetes management\nExperience with GitOps tools (e.g. FluxCD, ArgoCD)\nFamiliarity with observability stacks and implementing monitoring solutions (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)\nExperience with secrets management (e.g. Vault, External Secrets)\nExperience with service meshes (e.g. Istio, Nginx)\nU.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required\n(To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))\nOur mission and our products are meant to connect the world and everyone in it, regardless of gender, race, creed, or any other distinction.
