Property Maintenance Technician

smartphoneLongStreet Property Management has served about 150 rental units in the Portland Metro Area with plans to grow. This is a job description for our Maintenance Technician. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is growing. You will work directly with the property manager. The position is responsible for a person who can work independently and resolving various levels of Work Orders (small jobs) in these areas: Light Plumbing work – leaky faucets, clogged drains, toilet fixes, water heaters etc. Light Electrical work – outlets, switches, light fixtures, heaters etc. General repairs Painting Outdoor work – moss removal, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, fence building, etc. Working with minimal supervision and instructing other workers Leading remodeling projects, ensuring efficiency and quality of work Assessing and providing recommendations for fixes and upgrades Responding to scheduled tenant’s maintenance requests during regular hours and emergencies on the weekends Maintaining company equipment and vehicles Qualifications: Previous experience in maintenance or construction is a plus On time, efficient, honest and quality-oriented Good communication skills, smartphone savvy Excellent time management and organizational skills Able to work with minimal supervision Own a basic set of hand and electric tools Driver License, valid insurance, own vehicle and a clean driving record Willing to work hard and learn Compensation: Starting $23-$28/hr or BOE $20 / month contribution towards cell phone Mileage reimbursement 401k contributions Sick time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Schedule: Monday to Friday On call Experience: Property maintenance: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Relocate: Portland, OR: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
