Floating Child Care Teacher
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing environment for their growth and development. Must have a positive, strong personality and able to handle early childhood behaviors in a professional and calm way.
Duties
- Implement age-appropriate activities to engage children in learning and play
- Provide basic care for children such as feeding, diapering, and supervising playtime
- Develop and maintain a daily schedule that promotes physical, emotional, and social development
- Collaborate with other childcare providers to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare, preschool, or daycare settings is required
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and curriculum development
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math and other educational concepts
- Strong classroom management skills to create a positive and structured learning environment
Floating teachers work 9am-5:30pm with possibility of extra hours when needed for substituting in classrooms. Must be able to work these hours.
Monday thru Friday, no weekends.
Must have clean background, high school graduate or GED and love children.
We are a school-readiness program, so if you are looking for a place to sit and watch children, this is not a place for you.
Experience with children is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
