With offices in Orlando and Chicago, our Orlando office is expanding, and we are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our team!\nResponsibilities\nSingle point contact for engineering projects\nBe able to do building heating/cooling load calculations\nDesign applicable heating/cooling systems\nEquipment and system specifications\nDo basic HVAC plans for RTU and split system design\nDuct sizing and diffuser selection\nTemperature controls\nGrease exhaust hood design\nGrease exhaust/Make-up air systems\nBasic general exhaust systems\nResponsible to permit comments\nReview shop drawing submittals\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications & Prior Experience\n2 - 4 years of professional experience in design required\nA minimum of 2 years experience in the design of building HVAC systems required\nAny retail or grocery store design experience a plus\nExperience in the design of building HVAC systems\nHas lead projects in mechanical and plumbing designs\nHas PE or on track to get PE\nKnowledge/understanding of mechanical building codes\nKnowledge of heating and cooling load calculations, mechanical materials, systems, and their application\nExperience with DX, chilled water, and variable air systems\nAbility to run heating/cooling loads with Carrier and/or Trane programs is required\nAbility to produce energy code calculations required\nProficiency in AutoCAD 2000 or later to produce construction documents in accordance with Interplan standards required\nCompensation & Benefits\nOpen and collaborative work environment\nContinuing Education and Professional Development\nActive employee lead activities committee\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nShort Term Disability and employer-paid Long Term Disability and Life Insurance\nFlex Spending and Dependent Care Accounts\nEmployee Assistance Program\nHealth and Wellness Program\nPaid Holidays\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\n401k with Employer Match, Financial Advisor for employees on ongoing Financial Wellness Education\nPerformance-based Bonus Program\nJoin our team at Interplan and contribute to creating spaces that celebrate Humanity!
