This role protects employees, contractors, visitors, company assets, and critical infrastructure while ensuring compliance with safety standards, security procedures, and regulatory requirements. The position supervises and develops security personnel, coordinates incident response, maintains security systems and records, and serves as the primary contact for site security matters.\nRESPONSIBILITIES Lead and support all site security operations while promoting a strong safety and security culture.\nSupervise, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate security personnel to ensure effective site coverage and consistent performance.\nManage access control, visitor management, contractor entry, badge administration, key control, and enforcement of site security procedures.\nOversee the operation, maintenance, and administration of CCTV, access control, alarm, radio, and other security systems.\nCoordinate emergency response activities, security incidents, investigations, and law enforcement interactions as required.\nConduct security inspections, patrol oversight, audits, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate security records, reports, investigations, training documentation, and regulatory compliance records.\nPartner with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, IT, contractors, and external agencies to support site security initiatives and investigations.\nRecommend and implement continuous improvements to security procedures, technology, training, and operational effectiveness.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 years of security, law enforcement, military, emergency response, or industrial security experience, required.\nMinimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.\nMining, industrial, or critical infrastructure security experience strongly preferred.\nIn-depth experience with MSHA and other regulatory requirements, required.\nExperience facilitating incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis while maintaining confidentiality, required .\nEffectively manage competing priorities while keeping to tight deadlines, required.\nExperience with CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and security databases, required.\nEffective radio and telephone communication skills, required.\nIntermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite, required.\nMust have valid driver’s license, required.\nFlorida Canyon is an equal opportunity employer, values diversity in its workforce, and encourages applications from qualified candidates.
