Our commitment to building and innovating in the AI space provides the framework intended to drive smarter decision making and enhance how we build and operate our platforms and applications.As a member of Point72’s Technology team, we encourage and support your professional development from day one—helping you advance your technical skills, contribute innovative ideas, and satisfy your own intellectual curiosity—all while delivering real business impact for our multi-billion-dollar global business.What you’ll doBuild and operate high-performance network platforms that support low-latency trading systems and critical business applicationsDesign and deploy scalable campus, data center, and wide-area network architectures to meet growth and availability targetsImplement and manage network security controls, firewall policies, and segmentation to protect sensitive systems and data, strengthening our defensive postureAutomate network provisioning, configuration, and validation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code techniques to reduce manual work and accelerate deploymentsTroubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive post-incident improvements to increase reliability and reduce recurrencePartner with application, security, and operations teams to optimize network performance for latency-sensitive and high-throughput workloadsLead network upgrade, capacity planning, and vendor coordination projects from design through testing and cutover to deliver measurable improvementsMaintain and improve network documentation, runbooks, and change control artifacts to ensure reproducible, auditable operationsMentor and coach engineers early in their careers, share knowledge across the team, and contribute to an environment of continuous improvementWhat’s RequiredBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise or financial services environmentsProven experience designing, deploying, and operating data center and campus networks, with deep expertise in routing and switching and strong command of core protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and EVPN/VXLAN, including hands-on experience designing VXLAN-based Layer 2/Layer 3 data center fabrics and underlay/overlay architecturesHands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco and Arista, along with implementing and supporting next-generation firewall solutions including Palo Alto NetworksExperience with network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar tools, with a clear understanding of infrastructure-as-code principlesProficiency with network monitoring, packet capture, and observability tools to diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and availability issuesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills, with the ability to remain effective in high-pressure situations and drive timely resolutionProven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, with a willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to the highest ethical standardsWe take care of our peopleWe invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being.
