Role Summary The Microsoft 365 Engineer plays a critical role in managing and enhancing a complex, multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environment that supports a diverse portfolio of independent firms. This position ensures the stability, security, and performance of the Microsoft 365 platform while driving ongoing improvements and innovation. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert and Global Administrator, providing advanced operational support, resolving escalated issues, and partnering with IT Operations to deliver strategic initiatives. Your work will directly impact end-user productivity, platform reliability, and the overall success of a managed IT services program. Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.Manage and optimize a Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO), including cross-tenant collaboration, identity synchronization, and governance.Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex Microsoft 365 issues using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and native admin tools.Oversee endpoint provisioning and lifecycle management using Windows Autopilot, Intune, and Entra ID.Collaborate with IT Operations to support project delivery, platform enhancements, and technical initiatives.Troubleshoot and resolve user access issues across cloud services, validating solutions end-to-end.Implement platform improvements following change management processes with clear and proactive communication.Develop and maintain internal knowledgebase documentation for systems, configurations, and processes.Key Requirements5+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3+ years in Microsoft 365 administration at a Global Administrator level.Hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.Proven experience managing multiple Microsoft 365 tenants in an MSP, multi-firm, or Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) environment.Strong experience with Microsoft 365-native endpoint management, including Entra-joined devices, Intune MDM, and Windows Autopilot.Knowledge of cross-tenant access, identity federation, and large-scale tenant segmentation (e.g., administrative units, scope tags, address book policies, security groups).Solid understanding of messaging infrastructure and mail flow, including integrations with email security gateways such as Proofpoint.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of work through completion.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across technical teams.Take the Next Step If you're a driven Microsoft 365 expert looking to make a meaningful impact in a complex, multi-tenant environment, we'd love to hear from you.
