Join us on our journey to reinvent rehabilitation for life beyond limits.Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Systems Administrator to lead and manage the provisioning, configuration, operation, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure. This individual will serve as a technical authority for the organization—overseeing enterprise systems, optimizing IT operations, and driving technological strategies aligned with our mission and values. The Senior IT Systems Administrator will be deeply engaged in high-level systems architecture, security planning, and end-to-end lifecycle management, from server to endpoint.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage the installation, configuration, and performance of enterprise IT systems (virtual and physical)Architect, deploy, and maintain critical infrastructure: VMware, Nutanix, NetApp, Active Directory, O365, and AzureSupport and maintain core platforms including Windows Server OS, SharePoint, and Lawson ERPServe as escalation point for complex systems issues and resolve advanced technical problems independentlyAdminister systems security, user authentication, and access controls in adherence to cybersecurity best practicesLead patching cycles, disaster recovery operations, and data backup strategies across all environmentsEvaluate emerging technologies and coordinate with vendors on procurement and integrationCollaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure IT services meet operational demandsCreate and maintain thorough documentation on configurations, processes, and protocolsMonitor network and system health, responding proactively to prevent outages and performance degradationQualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in IT systems administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacityExpertise in Windows Server environments, virtualization, and hybrid cloud (Azure)Strong working knowledge of core IT concepts: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSL, OSI Model, HTTP/SExperience with Microsoft 365 product suite managementDemonstrated ability to analyze, design, and implement secure and scalable systems architecturesProficiency in managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery systemsEffective communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetProven success implementing security policies and infrastructure hardening techniquesEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related disciplineIndustry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, VMware VCP, or similar are a plus
