Candidates must be complaint with DOD/ITAR requirements and be US citizens or nationals.\r\nPosition Summary:\r\nWe are seeking a contract Data & Performance Engineer to support data management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for owning and maintaining data reporting tools, developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards, analyzing performance trends, and partnering with IT and business stakeholders to improve data visibility and reporting capabilities.\r\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience working with large data sets, proficiency in Power BI, and a demonstrated ability to apply Lean principles to improve workflows and reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:\r\nOwn and manage data reporting processes, tools, and dashboards to support business performance tracking.\r\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and strategic use.\r\nAnalyze data and report out on performance trends, key metrics, and opportunities for improvement.\r\nPartner with IT and cross-functional teams to develop, improve, and automate reporting solutions in Power BI and related systems.\r\nEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.\r\nIdentify reporting gaps and recommend solutions to improve data accessibility and decision-making.\r\nSupport the design and implementation of Lean workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nDocument reporting processes, dashboard logic, and data definitions for ongoing support and sustainability.\r\nProvide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support operational performance improvements.\r\nAssist in standardizing metrics, reporting structures, and workflow processes across teams.\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field.\r\n5+ years of experience\r\nExperience with reporting and data visualization.\r\nStrong data management and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and communicate performance trends.\r\nExperience collaborating with IT and business stakeholders on reporting or system enhancement projects.\r\nKnowledge of Lean principles, process improvement methodologies, or workflow optimization.\r\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\r\nAbility to work independently in a contract role while managing multiple priorities.\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nExperience with PowerBI's\r\nExperience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or other performance-driven environments.\r\nFamiliarity with SQL, Excel, Power Query, DAX, or other reporting and analytics tools.\r\nExperience with continuous improvement initiatives and KPI development.\r\nKnowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position, however, as a supplier your expected pay range may differ: ***/hr.-***/hr.
