Performs other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Education High school diploma/GED\nMinimum Experience Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months being as a FedEx sort systems technician, or 24 months of maintenance on similar equipment/systems, as a commercial/industrial maintenance technician with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic & materials handling systems maintenance.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy sort related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good interpersonal and oral communications skills. Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level.\nJob Conditions Must be willing to work odd work weeks, o/t, holidays & rotating shifts. Valid driver’s license required. Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.\nPreferred Qualifications Pay Transparency: This position is located in Chicago, IL.\nPay: The pay rate for Chicago, IL starts at $33.00 an hour.\nAdditional Details: Must be able to work four 10 hour shifts.\nPay Transparency: The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location or locations.
