Commercial HVAC Technician

Job Description This is a full-time role for a Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician serving the greater San Diego Area. The technician will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, identifying and addressing system issues, diagnosing equipment, identifying performance concerns, and completing necessary repairs to ensure reliable system operation. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, completing accurate service documentation, communicating effectively with customers, and delivering timely, high-quality service.This position requires adherence to all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards and plays a key role in maintaining long-term relationships with commercial clients through dependable service and professional conduct.Education & Experience Requirements:* High school diploma or equivalent * Experience in Maintenance & Repair of commercial HVAC systems (5+ years preferred) * Experience with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and advanced HVAC systems * Certification in EPA standards and regulations * Valid driver's license & clean driving record * VRF / VRV certifications (preferred) * NATE certification is a plus. * HVAC technical school or formal training (preferred)Skills and Other Abilities:* Proven skills in Troubleshooting and resolving HVAC system issues * Commitment to maintaining high levels of Customer Satisfaction * Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance procedures * Ability to work independently and in collaborative environments * Familiarity with tools and equipment * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills * Ability to lift heavy materials/tools and work on ladders and rooftops * Comfortable using Outlook, mobile devices, and CRM/service management applications * Proficient in electrical diagnostics, piping systems, and controls troubleshootingJob Type: Full-time Employee Work Location: Greater San Diego Area Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 Hour ShiftsBenefits:* 401(k) plan with company match * Health, Dental, Vison insurance (paid 100% by the company for employees and 50% for dependants) * Competative Pay * Paid Time Off (3 Weeks per Year) * Team events * Company provided, take-home vehicle with gas card * Company cell phone * Quality, comprehensive training programs * Supportive work environment with a focus on safety and customer service * 7 paid holidays per yearPay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour (Depending on Experience & Qualifications) Company Description Southwest Mechanical Services, Inc. is a leader in commercial HVAC service and installation, driven by customer-first principles, a commitment to quality, and unwavering integrity.
