We believe that working together—combining our strengths, experience, and networks—greatly enhances our ability to shed light on pressing conservation issues and reach, inform, and engage a broader audience.\r\nPosition Summary\r\nThe Web Developer plays a key role in supporting the CCPC's online presence, ensuring that our website and digital platforms effectively communicate our mission, campaigns, and opportunities. We are seeking a full-stack web developer who can contribute to both front-end user experience and back-end functionality. This role involves technical website management as well as creative collaboration to enhance the usability, performance, and engagement of our digital platforms.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nMaintain the existing Wix website (theccpc.ca) and create new pages as required.\r\nRevise, edit, proofread, and optimise web content for clarity, accessibility, and SEO best practices.\r\nCollaborate cross-functionally with photographers, content creators, and communications teams to enhance overall user experience.\r\nOwn various design tasks involved in the web development lifecycle from concept to deployment.\r\nRegularly update website content, including adding new campaign materials, team member profiles, and volunteer or employment opportunities.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve website issues and implement updates to improve site performance.\r\nStay up-to-date with web design trends, accessibility standards, and digital best practices.\r\nQualifications & Experience\r\nMinimum of 3 years of proven experience in web development, preferably with Wix, WordPress, or similar website builders.\r\nStrong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.\r\nExperience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.\r\nFamiliarity with SEO, website analytics, and web performance optimisation.\r\nExperience in content management, digital publishing, or online marketing is an asset.\r\nDemonstrated interest in conservation, photography, or environmental issues is highly valued.\r\nSkills & Attributes\r\nStrong attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy.\r\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\r\nCreative problem-solving and ability to adapt to evolving priorities.\r\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.\r\nPassion for using digital media to educate, inspire, and engage audiences.\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nMeaningful work supporting conservation and creative communities.\r\nFlexible work arrangements.\r\nA collaborative, mission-driven team culture.\r\nInterested candidates can submit an application accessed from the following link.
