Bookkeeper
Job SummaryOur growing construction company is seeking an experienced and organized Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial transactions, job cost tracking, and administrative financial duties. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry, and is proficient in QuickBooks. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate job costing, processing payroll, managing accounts payable/receivable, and providing timely financial reporting to support project profitability and cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
Job Costing & Project Tracking: Allocate all company expenses (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors) to specific jobs to monitor project profitability.
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and credit card expenses accurately and on time.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Create, send, and track client invoices, including managing progress billings, retainage, and lien waivers.
Payroll Processing: Handle weekly or bi-weekly payroll for field employees, including managing hourly rates, overtime, and tax withholdings.
Reconciliation & Compliance: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and ensure compliance with sales tax, payroll taxes, and local regulations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements for management review.
Administrative Support: Maintain organized financial records, contracts, and insurance documentation (COIs).
