You will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, develop technical specifications, implement the requirements and ensure that the RFID solutions align with business goals and objectives.\nAs a part of the custom development team, this position leads a team of developers to build and maintain RFID encoding systems. While this position is a leadership role, the position additionally requires the development of custom applications using C#.\nWhy work at MCC:\nCompensation: $115K - $125K annually\nGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k)\nPaid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays\nResponsibilities:\nWork with the business, technical and software development teams to assess and recommend RFID solutions.\nWork on site at one or more production sites with RFID solutions. Some travel required.\nWork with the development team to plan and prioritize work\nWork with developers to estimate effort required to complete requests.\nPromote skill development of team members\nPromote and monitor best practices for custom software development\nPerform annual performance reviews of direct reports\nDevelop applications using defined process and architecture.\nAnalyze defect reports and develop solutions to address the reported defect.\nParticipate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.\nLead requirement gathering sessions to define solutions, document specifications, and develop user stories for new products or enhancements.\nParticipate on project teams to build effective solutions based on project requirements\nManage shared code using standard source code repository tools\nWrite or update documentation to support developed solutions including internal documentation, release notes, and deployment instructions.\nDevelop prototypes or proof of concept solutions when necessary\nAssume support of existing RFID solutions.\nResolve assigned Incidents and respond within prescribed SLA.\nProvide 2nd tier support to Service Desk as a Subject Matter Expert.\nParticipate in code reviews to ensure developed solutions are well architected and follow development and security standards.\nDisaster Recovery Planning and Plan Management\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nFour-year college degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science and related experience required.\n5+ years of experience in developing RFID solutions that integrate with other software solutions.\nCandidates should have a high amount of familiarity with concepts and technologies such as:\nRFID Reading/Encoding/Verification solutions\nRF Hardware setup including antennas for RFID solutions\nC# development for Windows\nSoftware Development Lifecycle\nAgile Software Development\nPrevious experience in manufacturing environment supporting RFID solutions highly desirable.\n5+ years of experience with dedicated RFID reader/encoder hardware and related software development.\n5+ years of experience leading a software development team and a track record of mentoring other developers.\n2+ years of SQL/database experience preferably with some Progress DB.\n5-10 years developing custom solutions using C# .\nExperience with CI/CD a plus.\nInterpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a team.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nDiversity & Inclusion:\nMCC fosters an inclusive culture that respects and embraces our teammates’ diverse backgrounds and experiences, so that everyone can achieve their full potential here.
