Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Must have at least one year of experience in the operation of mobile cranes; 2) Possess knowledge of and have the ability to perform, crane operating, weight handling, and rigging operations procedures, regulations, processes, and operations of Category 1 weight handling equipment; 3) Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one; 4) Able to obtain a crane operator's physical; and 5) Ability to effectively communicate. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.Additional InformationIncumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Forklift certification within six months of onboarding. May be required to work overtime, shift work, or call back. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
