This role combines hands-on reporting and analytical work with process development leadership to establish and maintain reporting standards, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with institutional priorities and data governance practices. priorities\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify redundant, outdated, or low-value reports and recommend consolidation or retirement\r\n\r\n\r\nRedesign reports collaboratively with Reporting team to improve usability, clarity, and performance\r\n\r\n\r\nCurate and maintain base data sets, develop standardized report structures, naming conventions, and documentation practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nWork with the reporting team as needed on new report and dashboard needs to ensure compliance and operational reporting needs are met\r\n\r\n\r\nData Validation and Quality Assurance\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform and lead validation of data outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify discrepancies and partner with data owners to resolve root causes\r\n\r\n\r\nEstablish and maintain validation protocols for recurring and high-impact reports\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport compliance with internal and external reporting requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nProcess Improvement and Workflow Optimization\r\n\r\n\r\nAnalyze reporting workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and rework\r\n\r\n\r\nLead implementation of process improvements to improve turnaround time and service levels\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport development and application of prioritization frameworks (e.g., tiered reporting, intake processes)\r\n\r\n\r\nContribute to continuous improvement efforts using established methodologies (e.g., PDCA)\r\n\r\n\r\nFunctional Leadership and Coordination\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide guidance to and collaborate with reporting analysts on reporting standards and best practices\r\n\r\n\r\nLead prioritization of reporting optimization efforts in alignment with institutional needs\r\n\r\n\r\nLead testing and implementation of semiannual Workday releases and reporting updates\r\n\r\n\r\nServe as a central coordination point for reporting improvement initiatives\r\n\r\n\r\nInfluence decisions related to report creation, redesign, consolidation, or retirement\r\n\r\n\r\nData Governance Alignment\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure reporting practices align with institutional data governance standards\r\n\r\n\r\nPartner with data stewards to improve data definitions, consistency, and appropriate usage\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport secure and appropriate report distribution and access controls\r\n\r\n\r\nIdentify and escalate risks related to data quality, reporting gaps, or access concerns\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaboration and Stakeholder Support\r\n\r\n\r\nPartner with institutional research, IT, and business units to clarify reporting needs\r\n\r\n\r\nTranslate business questions into optimized reporting solutions\r\n\r\n\r\nProvide guidance on appropriate use of existing reports versus development of new reports\r\n\r\n\r\nSupport communication and training related to reporting standards and tools\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or related field\r\n\r\n\r\nMinimum of 4-5 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience working with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as Workday)\r\n\r\n\r\nDemonstrated experience with data validation and quality assurance practices\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience working with Microsoft Excel\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience in higher education or public sector environments\r\n\r\n\r\nFamiliarity with data governance frameworks and practices\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience improving or redesigning reporting processes\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge of SQL or other data querying languages\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience influencing work without formal supervisory authority\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge of reporting frameworks, data structures, and business intelligence concepts\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to evaluate and improve reporting processes and outputs\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to lead work through influence and establish standards across teams\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work both independently and within a team environment\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions\r\n\r\n\r\nWork is primarily performed in a standard office environment\r\n\r\n\r\nMay require extended periods of computer use\r\n\r\n\r\nOccasional additional time may be required to meet reporting deadlines\r\n\r\n\r\nIn evaluating candidates for this
