This role is the primary point of accountability for everything that happens on the job site — from the first shovel in the ground to final punch and owner acceptance.\n\nThe Superintendent manages and coordinates all trade contractors, enforces CMC's safety culture, maintains project momentum, and serves as CMC's most visible representative to owners, inspectors, trade partners, and the surrounding community. This is a role for a proven field leader, someone who commands respect, solves problems decisively, and holds the line on quality and safety without exception.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nField Leadership & Trade Contractor Management\n\nSupervise and coordinate the day-to-day work of all trade contractors across multiple scopes and areas of the project simultaneously\nEstablish clear expectations, accountability standards, and performance benchmarks for all subcontractors on site\nResolve jurisdictional disputes, scope conflicts, and coordination issues with professionalism and decisiveness\nBuild and maintain credibility with owners, trade contractors, unions, and inspectors through consistent fairness and transparency\nServe as CMC's primary on-site representative and face of the project to all stakeholders\n\nSafety Leadership\n\nChampion and enforce CMC's safety culture — a clean, organized, hazard-free job site is non-negotiable\nConduct and document weekly safety inspections; identify, communicate, and correct unsafe conditions immediately\nEnsure all workers and subcontractors are in compliance with OSHA regulations, CMC safety policies, and site-specific safety plans\nLead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as required\nSet the tone that safety is the first priority — before schedule, before budget, always\n\nScheduling & Project Execution\n\nCollaborate with the Project Manager to develop, maintain, and enforce the project schedule and milestone dates\nDevelop and manage look-ahead schedules with individual trade contractors to identify sequencing conflicts and resource gaps early\nCoordinate general conditions work, project logistics, material deliveries, and site access to maintain project flow\nAnticipate problems before they become delays — proactively identify risks and drive solutions in the field\n\nQuality Control & Compliance\n\nInspect work in place for compliance with design standards, contract documents, and CMC's quality expectations\nIdentify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken promptly; document all quality issues and resolutions\nReview and enforce contractor Quality Plans; hold subcontractors accountable to the standards they committed to\nReview vendor drawings, submittals, and RFIs with the project team to ensure field compliance with the approved document set\nReview construction details with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to confirm all work aligns with the design intent\n\nDocumentation & Reporting\n\nPrepare and distribute clear, accurate daily field reports documenting site conditions, manpower, weather, progress, and issues\nMaintain organized on-site records including safety logs, inspection reports, subcontractor coordination notes, and photo documentation\nCommunicate project status, risks, and field issues to the Project Manager and leadership team in a timely and professional manner\n\nQualifications & Requirements\n\nRequired\n\nMinimum 10 years of direct experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial or general contracting projects\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-trade projects from groundbreaking through owner acceptance\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (current)\nStrong technical knowledge across all divisions of construction work — methods, materials, systems, and sequencing\nProficiency in reading and interpreting full construction document sets including architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications\nDemonstrated ability to build and manage detailed project schedules and look-ahead planning tools\nExperience with project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or equivalent)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel\nExcellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal — across all levels of the project team\nProven problem-solving ability and composure under pressure;
