Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EEG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of neurological conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic evaluations. The EEG Technician will work closely with patients, providing care and support while ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy in testing. Duties Conduct EEG tests by applying electrodes to the patient's scalp and ensuring proper setup of equipment. Monitor patients during testing to ensure their comfort and safety, while also observing vital signs. Analyze EEG recordings for abnormalities, documenting findings accurately for physician review. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a Level I or Level II trauma center environment to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary. Educate patients about the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding the EEG process. Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to neurological function. Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes. Experience working in emergency medicine or trauma settings is preferred. Ability to effectively monitor vital signs during procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients. Previous experience in a clinical setting performing EEGs is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
