You'll manage service routes, support and train team members, and ensure every customer receives high-quality, reliable service. This role combines leadership, customer service, mechanical troubleshooting, and business development.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Account ManagementBuild strong relationships with restaurant and hospitality clients throughout South San Francisco and surrounding areasResolve customer concerns quickly and professionallyNegotiate service agreement renewals and pricing adjustmentsUpsell and cross-sell products and services to grow accountsCollect payments and follow up to keep accounts currentRoute & Team ManagementManage and optimize staff routes for efficiency and service qualityTrain and mentor new team membersEnsure adherence to company service standards and schedulesTechnical & Service DutiesFollow a 28-day service schedule and complete a 29-step preventative maintenance process on dish machinesTroubleshoot equipment issues and perform mechanical repairsDeliver and pick up cleaning chemicalsTrain customers on proper chemical usage to control costs and improve performanceOperations & ReportingReport performance metrics to branch managementParticipate in on-call rotation for emergency service needsSafely operate a company vehicle in various conditions, including evenings and inclement weatherQualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalentPrevious supervisory or management experience (service, route-based, or similar industry preferred)Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsValid driver's license for a minimum of 3 yearsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhat Makes You SuccessfulStrong leadership and ability to influence othersOwnership mindset and accountabilityPositive attitude and team-oriented approachAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentRequirementsAbility to lift and transport up to 70 lbs of cleaning chemicals dailyComfortable working outdoors and in a physically active roleAbility to climb stairs at customer and branch locationsFrequent driving throughout the South San Francisco areaCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay at $28 per hour + commission on companion products sold (up to $90,000 per year or more of total compensation)Full benefits package including:Medical, Dental, VisionLife InsurancePaid Holidays401(k) with Profit SharingCompany-provided uniformTypical workweek: 45-50 hoursDaily Overtime and on-call overtimeWhy Join Us in South San Francisco?South San Francisco is a thriving hub for restaurants, biotech campuses, and growing businesses—offering a dynamic customer base and strong career growth opportunities.
