In this position, you will work closely with the hardware development team on advanced test and measurement systems, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and systems simulation.\nKey Duties:\nArchitect, design, implement, test, and document software solutions.\nPerform the full lifecycle of software development from design through implementation and deployment.\nDevelop robust, well-architected, and reliable software, typically using C/C++ and Python on Linux.\nPromote software engineering best practices, including test-driven development, up-front design, code reviews, and unit testing.\nConduct peer reviews, oversee merge requests, and foster a culture of technical excellence while driving continuous improvement.\nCreate and maintain technical design documentation, data models, and process models.\nPerform system analysis, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution.\nContribute to system verification and validation activities.\nCollaborate with stakeholders across the project and NASA to ensure the successful delivery of GSE systems.\nLead and conduct program design and safety reviews with internal Axiom development teams and NASA customers for commercial spacesuit development.\nSupport project management efforts.\nCommunicate project progress, status, and potential risks to stakeholders and leadership.\nImplement and maintain agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.\nPerform additional job duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Skills, Experience, and Education:\nDue to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time.\nAbility to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.\n10 or more years of professional experience.\nAbility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.\nProficiency with version control tools such as Git and GitLab, build systems, and continuous integration pipelines.\nExperience with unit testing, software-hardware integration testing, and formal verification activities.\nExperience participating in software safety reviews.\nDemonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and under tight deadlines.\nStrong judgment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to complex challenges.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.\nTechnical expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and LabVIEW, with strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and application performance optimization.\nExperience working with TCP/IP-based communication using sockets and ZeroMQ.\nDemonstrated success delivering software across the full software development lifecycle.\nProficiency in software design principles, code architecture patterns, and development methodologies.\nStrong understanding of software verification, validation, documentation, and security best practices.\nExperience working within an agile development environment.\nAbility to present complex technical topics to management and other stakeholders.\nStrong technical writing and documentation skills.\nStrong interest in space and alignment with the mission, demonstrating perseverance, resourcefulness, adaptability, and grit.\nBachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\nDesired Skills, Experience, and Education:\nExperience supporting flight software certification.\nBusiness Profile:\nCimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
